About Us
Two generations building trust, one project at a time
Slater & Son Custom Design & Remodeling was founded on a simple belief: your home deserves the same care you'd give your own. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a full-service team — but the family values haven't changed.
We live and work right here in Sandusky. When you hire us, you're not getting a franchise call center — you're getting the guys who show up on time, clean up after themselves, and stand behind every nail they drive.
From a quick repair to a complete gut remodel, we treat every home like it's ours.

Testimonials
What our neighbors say
"Slater & Son completely transformed our outdated kitchen. They were punctual, respectful of our home, and the attention to detail was remarkable. We couldn't be happier with the result."
Jennifer M.
Sandusky, OH
"We needed a bathroom redo and a deck repair. They handled both with the same professionalism. Fair pricing, no surprises, and they cleaned up better than they found it."
Robert K.
Sandusky, OH
"They added a sunroom to our home and it looks like it was always part of the house. The design help was invaluable — we never would have thought of that layout on our own."
